ABOUT THE PROJECT:

In California, the smoking rate is 6.2% - however, the smoking rate among CA adults with frequent poor mental health is 15%, nearly double the rate of the general population.

The California Behavioral Health and Wellness Initiative (CABHWI, pronounced "cabby") was designed to help create equal access to cessation services for all smokers in the state, specifically those with a behavioral health condition (mental health diagnosis or substance use disorder).

Through this initiative, UCSF's Smoking Cessation Leadership Center provided customized, technical assistance, and social marketing for behavioral health agencies, providers, and the clients they serve throughout California.

Subscribe to our list for future opportunities. For technical assistance please contact (877) 509-3786 or [email protected]
